We are recruiting for an international business who are looking for a HR Generalist on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.  This is a stand-alone role reporting into the EMEA HR Director (also based in the UK) responsible for circa 120 staff and all things HR for the UK employees. We are looking for candidates with strong generalist HR experience who can take ownership of the HR function and any HR projects that come up. Potential for full-time or reduced hours (minimum 4 days per week). We require candidates who can start in the next few weeks!

The role has scope to be extended but due to change within the organisation this will only become clearer towards the end of the year.

Role overview:

• Oversee all company Employee Relations
• Case management (absence, performance, capability, maternity/parental leave, etc), providing line manager advice and coaching.
• Coordinate all UK recruitment including on-boarding
• Implementation and maintenance of Global People Projects
• Monthly reporting to Payroll Manager (starters/leavers, sick pay, etc).
• Setting up an Employee Forum for UK site
• Support company phased return to workplace in connection with the pandemic
• Ensure legal compliance with relevant employment laws e.g. check on all settlement status document of non-UK citizens employed by business.
• Refresh and expand UK People Policies, plus setting up the accessibility for all UK employees (e.g. Sharepoint)
• Launch of Ride to Work Scheme in Q3/Q4 2021
• Advise and coaching to Line Managers on Job Architecture and ensure alignment with market data (e.g. promotions).

Candidate requirements:

• Strong generalist HR experience at HR Business Partner level of similar
• Comfortable taking on a stand-alone HR role
• Available at short notice to commence a fixed term contract
• Ideally CIPD qualified
• Calm manner and ability to work with ambiguity
• Good working knowledge of UK Employment Law and GDPR
• Positive mindset, able to switch between activities and can deal with changing priorities
• Attention to Detail
