We are pleased to be recruiting for a privately owned clinic based in Hemel Hempstead, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and welcoming team. Our client is looking for a Medical Secretary to provide support for the doctors and team of clinical staff.

9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Duties:

• Dealing with relevant telephone calls, written correspondence and enquiries
• Day to day management of workflow into secretariat
• Liaising with doctors and admin staff to ensure patient communication is exemplary
• Maintaining filing systems, schedules and diaries
• Liaising with other departments where necessary
• General correspondence
• Clinical letters to general practitioners / specialists / Health Authorities / patients
• Medical health reports
• Management of papers and articles for discussion / publication
• Preparation of information documents
• Liaise with the relevant doctor
• Assist in obtaining research material
• Prepare presentation / lecture using Power Point
• Prepare / supply handout and supporting information
• Ensure arrangements are in place for registration, travel and accommodation

Candidate requirements:

• Good organisational skills
• Efficient and able to work well under deadline pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, dependable and flexible.
• The ability to work independently with little or no supervision and also work well within a team environment.
• Computer literate
• Ability to interact with all stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Confidentiality and discretion in matters pertaining to highly sensitive subjects.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
