Alex Ellis joined Think at the beginning of May 2016. With 4 years' customer service experience Alex was attracted to Think because of the opportunity to deliver great customer service in a new environment. She was also looking for personal growth and a long term career.
Since joining, Alex has used her skills and background to build great relationships with both clients and candidates. The temp desk has had quick growth since Alex joined. She credits some of this to a growing confidence in the role, with support and training from MD Chris Jones. "I've managed to build up a great bank of temps. I know the ins and out of them as well as the roles I'm recruiting for".
"It's so important to be honest and reliable" Alex says. "My clients have confidence in me to find their temps. That's a great feeling knowing they trust me to do a great job for them. Ultimately you can only recruit if you have a strong relationship and great customer service and this is where my previous experience comes in".
So if someone was considering a career in recruitment, why should they join Think? "It's an incredibly supportive environment. You are challenged to reach new personal goals, but thoroughly guided through the process". She also said she's really enjoyed the strong team feeling in the office and the team incentives provide an opportunity for the team to regular develop their relationship outside the office too.
So what's in store for Alex in the next year?
She's looking forward to growing the temp business further and she's on a crusade to convert people who think that temping is the 2nd best resource option. "It's got so many benefits for both clients and candidates. It really isn't a last resort, it can be a perfect to solution to so many resourcing requirements".
