We are pleased to confirm some exciting news..... Think Specialist Recruitment has become an Employee Ownership Trust!
After an extensive exploration process our Managing Director, Chris Jones, has made the decision for the Company to become an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) with the transaction now complete as of March 2024.
Chris has said "The Employee Ownership Trust has been formed with a purpose of creating a fantastic business model for our Employees to benefit from in the long-term. An EOT has to represent the Employees’ best interests, which has always been at the forefront of my strategy since we started growing the business by hiring our first team members 10+ years ago."
The process of becoming an EOT involves a majority shareholding in Think Specialist Recruitment being acquired by the Trust, which oversees the future running of the Company and ensures a lasting legacy for our Employees. Our trading name remains the same, as does our bank and invoicing details. Chris remains a shareholder and will still be actively involved day to day.
"I will remain as Managing Director of Think Specialist Recruitment whilst also sitting on the Board of Trustees. The Employees have a representative and voice on the Board to help shape the future direction and success of the business, plus everyone has the opportunity to partake in an EOT bonus scheme. The upshot is that our clients and candidates will be dealing with Consultants who are even more engaged, motivated and driven to provide a fantastic service!"
Having taken the last few months to undertake significant research into EOTs, consult with experts in this field and speak to other local businesses who have chosen this route, Chris felt that this was a win-win scenario for everybody involved.
Chris continues: "There will be no major changes to how we operate and there is no action needed from our clients or suppliers. Our long-serving teams and their responsibilities remain in place and there will be no impact on the service that we currently provide. I am confident that this will strengthen relationships with our existing clients and candidates, plus any new organisations that decide to partner with us will also benefit from our highly engaged, long-serving team of Recruiters. Just in case there was any concern, I am also remaining within the business to lead the teams day to day and ensure the culture that we have cultivated is protected and that we can continue the amazing journey the business has been on for the last 13+ years!"
