We are currently looking for a Bids and Tenders Team Leader to join global company based in Watford. Would you like to work for a global market leader within a fantastic working environment? Our client has an exciting opportunity for someone with bids and tender experience to lead the tendering team and manage the tender process. Overview of duties:
- Managing the tender process from initial interest to submission
- Support a team of 3 Tender Analysts to manage tender; ensuring equal contributions accross teams
- Ensure tender submissions are of the highest quality especially where scores may be impacted
- Work as a business partner with operational teams within the business
- Work in partnership with the strategy and contracting team leaders to gather business insights
- Manage escalations and contractual discussions in relation to tender submissions
- Attend tender debrief meetings and record win/loss information for strategic analysis
- Record and present tender win and loss data for analysis
- Track tenders from initial interest to award and beyond
- Manage, lead and develop the tenders team and recruit new talent
- Continuous improvement of processes and outputs
- Liase with business partners and pricing to determine bid submissions and ensure new market opportunities are explored.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience in tendering within a commercial environment
- Natural leader and team player
- Abilitiy to prioritise and task manage
- Strive to develop a team, seeking out areas for continuous development
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to build strong and credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Analytical with a high attention to detail
