Do you have experience of designing and delivering competency based frameworks? Have you had experience of working in an industry where health and safety is paramount? Would you like to work for an expanding and eco-friendly business that provides clean energy? We are recruiting for a HR Competency Framework Manager to undertake an important project for our client!
Candidates MUST have experience of designing competency frameworks for an organisation, ideally within an industry where health and safety plays an important part in their operations i.e. construction, rail, energy, transport, manufacturing, engineering etc. The role can be completed remotely so we are flexible on where applicants are based!
Role overview:
- Lead the overall development and implementation of the competency framework for identified roles within UK&I, prioritising those considered safety critical and ensuring that behavioral competencies support our company values
- Work alongside Senior managers and technical specialists in the business to help define competencies (both technical and non-technical), ensuring the framework is future proof.
- Coach, educate and manage a project team of specialists within the organisation (HR, HSQE and Operational staff), supporting them to deliver against the project plan.
- Collaborate with global colleagues to support implementation of the completed framework for their region.
- Work closely with the Group Director, Culture & Talent Management to collaborate on behavioral and leadership aspects of the framework.
- Define requirements for a technology solution to support the competency framework.
- Design a robust process for managing any training providers who run courses linked to the competency management system (the competency of providers and procurement/course content)
- Report regularly to the steering group with progress updates and highlight/escalate any project risks in a timely manner
- Define a process and governance structure to compliment the framework to ensure it operates efficiently
- Work closely with our internal communications team to design a communication plan for the project.
- Educating and delivering training to various stakeholders within the business on the competency framework and how it applies to them.
- Any other requirements from the steering group/project.
Candidate requirements:
- Excellent working experience of Competency Frameworks
- Learning Management/Competency Systems experience
- Knowledge of HR best practice
- HSE Competency Guidance
- Previous experience of working within a technical organization is preferred (such as energy, transport, construction, manufacturing, engineering etc)
